Our Schools
In addition to the special schools that have recently joined THPT, the inclusive ethos of our MAT is deepened by 5 Special Centres attached to mainstream settings; 3 COIN (Communication and Interaction Needs) Centres - one each at Eastwick Junior and Infant Schools, together with one at Cuddington Community Primary School - for young people with an autistic spectrum condition, one SLCN Centre at Meadhurst Primary and one Visually Impaired Centre at Oxted School. In line with our highly inclusive ethos we were delighted to succeed in our wave 12 Free School Special School bid.
THPT will bring out the best by providing a rich experience both within and beyond the classroom. This will enable all our young people to thrive personally and academically, overcome challenges and make a positive contribution to society. THPT is currently one of the largest and strongest performing MATs in Surrey with over 7000 pupils in four secondary, six primary academies and two special schools:
Secondary Schools
Howard of Effingham School
Howard of Effingham School is situated between Leatherhead and Guildford and is the lead academy in The Howard Partnership Trust. It is a school which prides itself on traditional values combined with a passion for innovation and where every child matters. The school offers students every opportunity to develop academically and socially and is committed to the core purpose of ‘bringing out the best’ in them all.
Thomas Knyvett College
Thomas Knyvett College is an aspirational 11-16 school with outstanding ambition. We are proud to be the school of choice serving the local community in and around Ashford, Middlesex where our student-centred approach means that the child, families and the community lies at the heart of everything we do. As an Academy within The Howard Partnership Trust we constantly strive for excellence in teaching and learning that enables us to inspire our students to achieve of their best by providing a caring environment, with high standards of behaviour and a diverse and broad curriculum.
Oxted School
Oxted School is a 11-18 secondary school serving the Tandridge community in South East Surrey. It is a very large co-educational school and has been part of the Howard Partnership Trust since 2015. This is a well-established school having opened in 1929. Some of the hallmarks of Oxted School are the breadth and range of opportunities, made possible because of its size, whilst maintaining the caring, nurturing environment of a small school. Oxted School provides our students with a consistently high quality educational experience.
Three Rivers Academy
Three Rivers Academy is a 11-18 Academy serving the communities of Walton on Thames, Hersham and Molesey. Strong leadership, in partnership with The Howard Partnership Trust and a dedicated staff striving to ‘bring out the best’ in its pupils has led to 2017 Summer exam results that have shown great improvement at both A level and GCSE, with a 16% increase in English and maths results. The future of Three Rivers is very exciting as the school completed the move to a new purpose built building in February 2018, providing an environment for 21st century learning.

Primary Schools and Early Years Provision
Kenyngton Manor Primary School
Kenyngton Manor Primary School, part of The Howard Partnership Trust, is a thriving primary school, in Sunbury on Thames that aims to provide your children with the knowledge and skills to best equip them for the next stage in their educational journey. The school caters for children aged 2 to 11 years old and provides community support through our Sure Start Children’s Centre. Our aim is to ‘bring out the best’ in every child and enhance their life chances through a high quality education.

Cuddington Community Primary School
Cuddington Community Primary School is a small, friendly, one-class entry, all through primary school on the edge of Worcester Park. We seek to serve our community by providing a strong supportive caring environment where children thrive, grow and achieve. As a school within The Howard Partnership Trust we relentlessly strive for excellence in teaching and learning, enabling us to bring out the best in each one of our children. Our ‘Jubilee Centre’ is a specialist provision supporting children with communication and interaction needs. Eastwick Infant and Eastwick Junior Schools
At Eastwick Schools we offer inspirational education to children in our local community from the age of 4-11. We provide a nurturing environment where we value each child and promote positive attitudes by building resilience, inspiring creativity, living values and promoting a love for lifelong learning. As a member of The Howard Partnership Trust we are able to work closely with The Howard and ensure that the transition from primary to secondary school is seamless for the majority of our pupils.
Meadhurst Primary School
Meadhurst Primary School is a friendly three-form entry primary school, with a specialist SLCN Centre, for pupils aged between 3-11 years. We aspire to be an extraordinary place to learn; a place that is built around our core values. The staff and governors understand that each learner is a unique individual with unlimited potential. We endeavour to create a school where everyone is valued and celebrate diversity. Our aim is to work with pupils, parents and the broader community to enrich opportunities, make progress, maximise attainment, build positive and lasting relationships and engage in a powerful learning journey that has a lifelong legacy.
Special Phase Schools
West Hill School
West Hill School situated in Leatherhead, is an outstanding special school for primary aged children with Learning and Additional Needs (LAN). Additional needs may include speech and language difficulties, autism, physical difficulties and/or medical needs.
Linden Bridge School
Linden Bridge School based in Worcester Park is a specialist provision for young people aged 4 to 19 years with complex social communication needs (CSCN). Linden Bridge School is designed to meet the needs of pupils with significant barriers to learning, such as autism with learning difficulties, medical issues or speech, language and communication needs. The school also offers residential provision.
Fox Grove School
Fox Grove School opened in September 2021 in Leatherhead and is a special school for young people aged 4 to 19 with complex social communication needs (CSCN). Fox Grove will cater for 152 pupils with significant barriers to learning, such as autism with learning difficulties, medical issues or speech, language and communication needs.
Betchwood Vale Academy (under development)
Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) recently granted planning permission for this new school build at their meeting on Wednesday 1 March 2023. Details of the plans can be found on the MVDC website via this link.
The project will be managed and funded by the DfE, and we await further guidance on when the school will be ready to admit its first cohort of children and young people.
While there is little more information available at present, we will be updating our website as this exciting project progresses and we move towards the opening of this new school within The Howard Partnership Trust.
