National social-mobility champions recognise our approach to inclusion
THPT awarded Sutton Trust’s School Admissions Award

One of the UK’s leading social-mobility organisations has recognised our commitment to inclusion.

The Sutton Trust has awarded the Howard Partnership Trust its “School Admissions Award” at bronze level.  This recognises that as a trust, we are constantly evolving our admissions processes to increase equality of access to our schools.

The Sutton Trust was keen to acknowledge our commitment to the “Fair School Admissions Pledge”.  This shows the steps we are taking to make our schools accessible to all young people in our communities.

Louise Lee, our CEO, said: “We are a values-driven trust.  Our schools strive to be places of real inclusion, where young people from the whole community are welcome.  We are mindful that honouring this commitment requires us to constantly review our admissions processes and ensure that they are accessible to families from all different backgrounds.  We are grateful that the Sutton Trust has acknowledged our work in this area.  We look forward to working with them to continue to develop our policies and approach.”

Our schools are known for their commitment to ensuring each young person gets the best possible start to life.  Ofsted inspectors regularly note our effective approach to inclusion and our high aspirations for each pupil.
